Lake in the Hills New Police Station
The new police station will be built on the existing Village Hall site to centralize Village operations and create a campus setting. The new station is 2 stories and takes advantage of the existing site topography by being partially built into the existing hill. The Station design includes a 16-vehicle secure vehicle garage, an evidence garage, a 2-bay sally-port booking and processing area, holding room, 4 detention areas, a secure interview room and bond out area, complete evidence processing and storage area. Staff spaces include officer’s locker rooms, fitness area, lunchroom, report writing, patrol spaces, Sgt’s offices, patrol meeting room and armory along with mechanical areas. The upper grade level provides the main public entrance with direct access to the records department and a multipurpose media/meeting/training space. Secured from the general areas; command and administrative spaces include social services suite, soft interview areas, chief, deputy chief and admin assistant suite, investigations, major case conference room and the various typical support and ancillary spaces.
