Project Description

In April of 2015, the Kenosha residents voted to pass a $16.7 million plan to improve the districts athletic facilities which include Bradford High Schools first athletic stadium and the renovation of Trempers existing athletic stadium, Ameche Field.

Bradford High School has produced many great athletes, most recently Melvin Gordon and Trae Waynes, that have went on to play their sport professionally. They trained these football players with no football field on campus. Years prior, Bradford used Carthage Colleges Stadium and have shared Ameche Field and Indian Trials Football field. Bradfords project includes a new athletic stadium featuring a colored urethane track, home and away bleachers, concession stand, restroom and a team building space. Bradfords parking lot will expand with a total of 415 parking spaces. There will be new bleachers and synthetic infield for the varsity baseball team and a new tennis court facility. Along with the new baseball infield, the work includes a new varsity softball diamond featuring a synthetic infield for both varsity and junior varsity softball teams and a multipurpose practice fields for all sports to use.

Tremper did have an athletic stadium but it was extremely old and in desperate need of the replacement. The original Ameche Field will be torn down and a brand new athletic stadium featuring a colored urethane track, home and away bleachers, concession stand, restrooms and a team building space. Before the referendum, Tremper did not have a suitable track where sanctioned Track & Field meets could be held. Along with the stadium, a new press box and synthetic infield for a varsity baseball diamond, new tennis court facility, improved junior varsity football field and new perimeter fence and asphalt walking paths.

Indian Trail High School and Academy, a previous Camosy project, will also be receiving a few new athletic upgrades. New bleachers and synthetic infield for varsity baseball diamond and varsity softball diamond along with a resurfaced track featuring a colored urethane surface.
